"Our Wonderful World!" Autumn 2020

Welcome to SRB KS2 - Mrs Cociorva

Croeso I Ddosbarth SRB KS2 - Mrs Cociorva

Hello everyone, welcome to our class page!

It is so exciting to be back in school together and we are all so happy to see each other again!  We have been having lots of fun, working hard and settling back in really well to our class -  which for some of us is a new class!  We are also thrilled to welcome Mrs Smith into our class this year; Mrs Smith knows the children really well already from working in our next door class.

Well done to the whole class for coming back to school so brilliantly, after such a long time, we are so proud of you all!

Our topic this Autumn is "Our Wonderful World!"  We will be focusing on apples, pumpkins, fire, Autumn walks, sticks and leaves, hedgehogs and stars!  We will also spend a little time looking at the weather too.  So far we have been collaging and painting apples, making repeating patterns and taking part in some great Attention Autism activities every morning! We have been very busy.  Please see our topic web at the top of the page for a view of some of our suggested activities this term.

Reading Books and Homework:

Reading books are changed every week, usually on a Friday, but can be more regularly as needed.    Homework will now be sent via the Google Classroom, which can include a range of more open-ended tasks based around the topic or seasonal aspects to more specific skills for your child to practise at home.  Please let me know if you have any problems accessing the classroom and you know if I can't sort it out - I know someone who can! :))

Class Dojo:

Class Dojo of course remains the main platform that we use to communicate with parents, though of course I still like to use the old-fashioned telephone at times too! :)

Thank you all for your continuing support of us and the school; it is our privilege to do these jobs and work with your amazing children. We really do appreciate the support we receive from you. We know this academic year will be different, but we aim to make it as much fun as possible and as productive as it can be and we welcome you all to come on this journey with us.

Best Wishes,

Mrs Cociorva, Mrs Newell, Miss Hibbert and Mrs Smith
