Welcome to SRB KS2 - Mrs Cociorva

Croeso I Ddosbarth SRB KS2 - Mrs Cociorva

Hello everyone, welcome to our class page on the school's new website!

In the first half term we have been having lots of fun, working hard and settling in well to our new class this half term.  Our topic has been "Magical Me!"  We have drawn portraits, talked about our favourite things, families and what makes a good friend!  We've been making pizzas, "Fruity Bugs" and having a great time on Outdoor Pursuits!

This half term, we will continue with "Magical Me!" but extend our curiosity further by finding out about "people who help us."  We will also look at the story of The Three Little Pigs, build our own model houses and investigate materials!  This will form the basis of our STEM week, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) which will take place the week beginning Monday 26th November 2018.

Reading Books and Homework:

Reading books are changed every week, usually on a Friday, but can be more regularly as needed.  Please continue to write a comment for us about your child's reading at home, or simply sign the diary so we know you are ready to move on.  Homework is given out every Friday and is usually expected back the following Tuesday.  Homework can range from more open-ended tasks based around the topic or seasonal aspects, to more specific skills for your child to practise at home.

ClassDojo and Seesaw:

These are the two main platforms that we use to communicate with parents, though of course I still like to use the old-fashioned telephone at times too! :)  Please ask if you are not sure about either of these.

Class Timetable Note:

Please know that we aim to have cookery every other Wednesday, for which a small donation of a £1 towards the cost is greatly appreciated.  PE is now on a Friday afternoon.  Outdoor Pursuits is still on a Thursday.

Many thanks for all your continuing support,

Mrs Cociorva (formerly Miss Wilkinson), Mrs Newell and Ms Mason
